Let’s go!
What to see and do in Ibiza?

Essential beaches and coves in Ibiza
The island of Ibiza is famous, in addition to its party, for its beaches and coves with crystal clear waters.
There are about 80 beaches and coves in Ibiza, each with its own charm and characteristics. There are large ones, small ones, with catering services and activities, hidden or secluded… But all of them have the charm of a nature that is unique in the world.
As there are so many beaches and coves in Ibiza, we have prepared a list of our 10 favourites, although if you take a look at our website, you will find many more.
1. Cala Comte: Known for its turquoise waters and spectacular sunset views. It’s the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring.
2. Cala Salada: This small and picturesque cove is ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Don’t forget your snorkeling equipment!
3. Playa d’en Bossa: The longest beach on the island, perfect for water activities and parties. There’s always something exciting to do here.
4. Cala Vadella: A quiet refuge with a family atmosphere. Perfect for a picnic and rest day.
5. Cala Jondal: Famous for its beach bars and relaxed atmosphere. Here you can enjoy a good meal with a view of the sea.
6. Cala Tarida: Ideal for families, with shallow and clear waters. The children will have a great time.
7. Benirràs: Known for its stunning sunsets and drums at sunset. A magical and unique atmosphere.
8. Es Cavallet: A nudist beach surrounded by dunes and nature. Perfect for connecting with nature.
9. Cala Llenya: Quiet and away from the crowds, ideal for those looking for peace and serenity.
10. Cala Gracioneta: A small hidden cove with crystal clear waters. Our secret corner for a perfect day at the beach.
In addition to being impressed by the beauty of these beaches and coves or sunbathing in them, we recommend you take a good swim and snorkel or even take a kayak if the area lends itself to it and is allowed. You will enjoy like a child!
Activities and excursions
Yes, we know. If you have decided to spend your holidays in Ibiza in a camper it is because you want to swim in crystal clear waters as much as you can, but let us tell you that in addition to the beaches, Ibiza has many activities and excursions that are very worthwhile.
Let’s look at some of them!
Visit to Dalt Vila
The old town of Ibiza is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so you can already get an idea of how beautiful it can be to walk its cobbled streets, have a few drinks on a terrace or enjoy the history and culture of the city by taking a free tour.
Boat trips
In the movie The Dead Poets Club, a teacher tells his students: Get up to the desks and look around. Because they must never forget that they must see things differently.
With this quote, the teacher seeks to highlight the importance of adopting different perspectives to appreciate the world in a new and fresh way. And we encourage you to do the same in Ibiza!
Travelling by camper with Ibiza you can enjoy the views from land, give yourself the luxury of discovering the coast from the sea with boat trips around Ibiza or even Formentera. The views are spectacular!
Hiking
If in addition to getting to know the most you want to discover mountain areas or some of the highest points on the island, you can’t miss routes such as the Camino de Sa Talaia, with panoramic views that will take your breath away.
Nightlife
Ibiza’s famous nightlife is known all over the world.
From young people who spend the whole year saving to come to Ibiza in summer to hard-working people who on their days off give their all in the club to the most exclusive celebrity dancing from their private rooms, in clubs such as Pacha, Amnesia or Ushuaïa there are people of all kinds, classes and tastes… But they all have one thing in common: they love to party!
Tips for travelling in a campervan in Ibiza
Now that we have told you about the best of Ibiza, its beaches, coves, activities and leisure in general, it is time to give you some basic tips to make your campervan trip comfortable and easy.
Where to sleep in a camper in Ibiza
In Ibiza, as in many coastal cities, it is important to know the places where spending the night in a campervan is allowed to avoid an upset in the form of a fine. These are some of our recommendations for places to sleep in a camper in Ibiza:
- Camping Es Canar: It offers full facilities and a location close to the beach. It is a perfect place for families or if you are looking for tranquility.
- Camping Cala Nova: Another excellent campsite with direct access to the beach. Surrounded by pine forests and dunes, we love its quiet and friendly atmosphere.
- Authorised parking areas: In addition to campsites, if you prefer, you can also ask us or consult specific maps and applications to find areas where overnight stays are allowed in your camper.
Where to park the campervan
Parking a campervan in Ibiza can be a challenge, especially in high season when it usually doubles its population. Here are some tips based on our own experience:
- Authorised car parks: Look for camper parking. It will be easier to park, they are safer and usually offer basic services.
- Avoid crowded urban areas: If you don’t want to spend hours trying to park or waste time in vain, opt for parking on the outskirts and use a bike, motorbike or public transport to get around. Finding parking downtown can be stressful.
- Respect the signs: Respect local road signs and parking restrictions to avoid unnecessary fines and hassle.
Maximum speed for camper vans
The island is small and easy to navigate by vehicle, but it is always important to know the speed limits, not only to drive safely and respectfully, but also to avoid fines and penalties.
The speed limits for campervans in Ibiza are as follows:
- Motorways: 90 km/h
- Secondary roads: 80 km/h
- Urban areas: 50 km/h
With these tips and the recommendations we’ve given you in this first post of our blog, you’re ready to start your campervan adventure and enjoy everything Ibiza has to offer.
We are sure that if you do it with Camperibizate it will be an exciting way to explore the island, just as we have done for years. We hope our tips will help you have an experience as amazing as ours.
Have a good trip and see you on the road!
